BERGEN COUNTY CAMERA RETURN POLICY

At Bergen County Camera we want you to feel comfortable making your purchase decision.

Return & Exchange Period

14 days for cameras, digital cameras, video cameras, and optics.

30 days for all other products.

Bergen County Camera reserves the right to deny any return or exchange.

We are unable to accept returns for the following

Items that show use, wear or damage
Software – exchanged only if defective
Special Orders
Sensitized goods (film & paper)
Non-rechargeable batteries – exchanged only if defective
Shipping Charges unless the error is ours - US orders only

What’s needed to make your return

Original sales receipt

Original credit card for credit card purchases

All boxes, packing material, cords, cables, caps, batteries as originally packaged with warranty cards blank and intact – missing items or items showing any sign of use will be subject to a restocking charge.

Restocking Charge

A 15% fee may be assessed on returns not meeting these requirements if accepted for return.

How we make Refunds

Credit card refunds can only be made to the original card number used. Checks refunds will be mailed no later than 10 days after the return. Cash refunds will be made up to $100, for amounts in excess of $100 a check refund will be mailed no later than 10 days after the return.

Defective Policy

Defective products may be subject to manufacturer’s warranty. Defective merchandise accepted for return may be exchanged within a thirty (30) day period if all packaging, equipment and warranty cards are returned in factory fresh condition. WARRANTY CARDS MUST REMAIN BLANK AND INTACT and SOFTWARE UNOPENED otherwise the manufacturer’s warranty will apply. Defective policy does not cover damage of any kind, including but not limited to moisture, liquid damage, sand or impact. Manufacturer's determination will prevail on all warranty items.

SHIPPING POLICY

We offer a variety of shipping options for your convenience. Our standard shipper is UPS. Standard shipping is via UPS Ground delivery. We're happy to quote shipping charges for Next Morning, Next Afternoon, 2nd day, 3rd day or Standard Ground services from UPS, FEDEX or USPS. Depending on the value of the shipment, the following may apply, mandatory insurance / direct signature only / other verification steps to protect the delivery.

To safeguard our customers from the possibility of fraud, We're unable to:

Deliver to another address - the shipping address must match the verified transaction address
Remove Adult Signature Required
Hold for "will call" at a UPS / FedEx location
Reschedule delivery
Ship COD service, or ship via couriers or freight forwarders

For orders placed from outside the continental United States, we will contact you for payment of actual shipping charges via PayPal invoice.

LIMIT OF LIABILITY

Submitting any tangible or electronic media, image, data, file, card, disc, device, film, print, slide or negative for any purpose, such as processing, printing, duplication, alteration, enlargement, storage, transmission, or other handling, constitutes an AGREEMENT that any loss or damage to it by our company, subsidiary or agents, even though by our negligence or other fault, will only entitle you to replacement with an equivalent quantity/size of unexposed photographic film or electronic media. Except for such replacement, our acceptance of the media, image, data, file, card, disc, device, film, print, slide or negative is without other liability, and recovery for any incidental or consequential damages is excluded. No express or implied warranty is provided.

IMAGES YOU ENTRUST TO US FOR PRINTING AND OTHER SERVICES

Kiosks - Your images may remain on our kiosks, printers and servers for approximately 30 days until automatically purged during automatic system maintenance.

Fine Art, Scanning & Restorations - If ordering fine art prints, scanning services and restorations, images may remain on our servers to facilitate reorders and print matching. This should not be considered an archiving service and we cannot warrant that any image will be retrievable at a future date. Always keep a backup of your important images. Images can be saved to cd, removable storage or hard drives for a nominal charge when placing your order. You may also specify at the time of service - "Do not archive" and we will keep copies only to provide your requested service and delete upon job delivery.

Image Recovery Service - Image recoveries are normally saved to allow time for you to verify the results. Recovered images are normally purged approximately 30 days after the job is completed. Please contact us if you have special image security requirements. This should not be considered an archiving service and we cannot warrant that any image will be retrievable at a future date. No guarantee can be made about the recoverability of any image.

Retrieval and search charges will apply for image requests from prior jobs (waived when images used for reprint orders) - we cannot warrant that any image will be retrievable at a future date.

SALES TAX

We collect NJ sales tax on all in-state purchases and those shipped to New Jersey. We accept New Jersey sales tax exemption certificates only. As required by NJ law we collect tax on the items gross amount when a vendor reimbursed rebate or coupon is applied. When we provide the promotions or coupon, items are taxed on the net amount of the sale.

Out of State Purchases: Bergen County Camera is not required to and does not collect sales tax on out of state shipments. Your purchase is subject to all local and state taxes based on your state of residence.

Your state may require you to file a sales/use tax return at the end of the year reporting all untaxed purchases and pay tax on those purchases. Please check with your state's taxation website.

ORDER ACCEPTANCE AND BILLING

Local checks may be accepted with proper ID. If we are unable to accept a check, a bank check or other form of payment may be requested.

For your protection Credit Cards are only accepted online. We do not accept credit cards for payment by phone or mail.

We do not offer a pay online and pick up in-store option. All web orders must be shipped to your verified ship to address from your order.

Before we accept and process an order, we may also request that you provide additional information. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order for any reason, including limitations on quantities available for purchase, inaccuracies, or errors in product or pricing information, or problems identified through our efforts to avoid fraud.

We reserve the right to limit availability of, and/or to discontinue, any product or service described or available on our site to any person, entity, geographic area, or jurisdiction, at any time and in our sole discretion, and to limit the quantities and/or cancel orders of any product or service that we provide.

If your order is canceled after your credit card (or other payment account) has been charged, we will issue a credit to your credit card (or other applicable payment account) in the amount of the charge. We will contact you if all or any portion of your order is canceled or if additional information is required to accept your order. We may request a pre-authorization for some orders placed online with a credit or debit card. This pre-authorization will not be billed to you; however, your card issuer may hold this amount for a short period. Your card issuer determines the length of time the pre-authorization is held. We do this to ensure that the card details are still valid and that you have sufficient funds to complete the transaction.

Price Match Policy

Reputable authorized dealers adhere to manufacturer's' Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) policies on equipment, which means the advertised price is typically the same found at any authorized retailer, whether online or brick-and-mortar. Sometimes, certain products aren't included in manufacturers' MAP policies, resulting in fluctuating prices across different websites.

Please note that, though we’ll always do our best, we may be unable to match prices of Gray Market products typically being sold by non-US-authorized dealers, and prices for closeouts, open-box items, refurbished, items sold without warranty and those being offered on auction platforms such as eBay.

Rental Policy

To Rent you must be Rockland or Bergen County Resident with Credit Card and Driver's License from either of these counties - no exceptions - no debit cards.

Try Before You Buy - Purchase a new version of the item you rented within 30 days and apply the rental charge for that item towards your purchase.
